The Monday, June 8 regular meeting of the Village of Bluffton council was chaired by Mayor Rich Johnson with all members present. Among the issues discussed were a new downtown sidewalk safety zone, detour changes at the SR 103 roundabout at Navajo Dr., and plans for August 4 National Night Out celebrations. MEDIA RELEASE__The following eight public meetings have been announced by the Village of Bluffton for June 10-29. These meetings are also posted on the Bluffton_Icon_Community_Calendar
The Bluffton Council met in regular session on May 26 with Mayor Rich Johnson presiding and all council members present. Two individuals joined the Icon in the audience. Council had a full slate of items to discuss and legislation to vote on. Pool opening (hopefully May 31), street and sidewalk safety, paving projects and funding for the Bluffton Airport were among the issues covered.
The Bluffton School Board met on Monday, May 18 with President Roni Kaufman conducting the meeting. Among items on the agenda: fund adjustments were made for revenue of $82K over anticipated amounts. Technology Coordinator Courtnee Morris wil begin teaching in the next academic year and Todd Boblitt will serve as Technology Coordinator.
