Ronald Joe Leatherman , 69 of Portland, Tenn., died Aug. 1, 2010. He was born March 18, 1941.

He is preceded in death by parents, Rollin and Naomi Leatherman. Mr. Leatherman is survived by wife of 45 years, Helen Geiger Leatherman; daughters, Tina Leatherman of Portland, Tenn., and Tisha Sturm of Allensville, Ky.

Other survivors are brothers, David (Dorinda) Leatherman of Tupelo, Miss., and Gene (Nancy) Leatherman of Arlington, Ohio; grandchildren, Shelby, Jennah and Madellee Sturm of Allensville, Ky.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to McKendree United Methodist Church, Portland, Tenn. Graveside service will be held 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6324 Nashville Road, Franklin, Ky. 42134.
