Introducing the 2013 Bluffton High School homecoming court

Bluffton High School celebrates its 2013 homecoming this weekend. One queen and one king will be named in a pre-game ceremony on Harmon Field on Friday.

Seniors

Olivia Hunt is daughter of Stan Hunt and Cindy Wagner, and stepfather, John Wagner, 10540 Shifferly Road, Bluffton. She is a student helper in the middle school cafeteria, plays varsity volleyball, basketball and softball. She works at Bob Evans and hopes to major in pharmacy next year in college.

Sophie Marcum is daughter of Amy and Michael Marcum, 517 S. Main St., Bluffton. She is on cross country, Student Senate secretary, Spanish Club president, captain of the flag corps, vice president of the band, in Math Club, National Honor Society and is enrolled in post-secondary classes. She attended Buckeye Girls’ State, works for International College of Integrative Medicine, is a Bluffton News intern, Girl Scout, and is a lector, member of the youth group and member of the pastoral council at St. Mary’s Parish. She hopes to major in business management at either University of Notre Dame or Xavier University.

Audrey Marshall is the daughter of Bruce and Amy Marshall, 828 N. Main St., Bluffton. She is captain of the varsity cross country team, member of marching band, concert band, pep band, jazz band, show choir, editor of the yearbook, and member of Latin Club and Art Club. She works at The Centre and attends County Line Church of the Brethren. She is looking into psychology or physical therapy as a career.

Jonah Bourassa is the son of Mark and Jackie Bourassa. He is a member of SADD, Student Senate, yearbook staff, member of the varsity football team, track and is involved in weight lifting. He attends St. John Mennonite Church, is active in high school small groups, Youth for Christ and is a member of Main Event Team. He is considering Taylor University or Cedarville University and may major in exercise science or allied health.

Drake Luginbuhl is the son of Don and Denise Luginbuhl, 8350 Swaney Road, Bluffton. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Latin Club, football and baseball. He is a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church and small group, Youth for Christ and Yoder’s small group. He was a freshman attendant. He hopes to major in exercise science.

Noah Stratton is the son of Dave and Julie Stratton, 554 S. Main St., Bluffton. He participates in football, basketball, track, show choir, Latin Club, National Honor Society, Renaissance Committee, Middle School cafeteria volunteer and SADD. He attends St. John Mennonite Church and is a member of its youth group and leadership team. He also participates in Youth for Christ. He hopes to major in biology and is undecided where he will attend college.

Juniors

Kearstin Barry is daughter of John and Kelly Barry and Tim and Jolene Joseph, 8310 Hillville Road, Bluffton. She participates in volleyball, basketball, Spanish Club and choir. She is a member of St. John Mennonite Church, attends its youth group and participates in AAU basketball.

Austin Bricker is the son of Tracie Bricker and the late Chris Bricker, 9530 Bucher Road, Columbus Grove. He participates in football, basketball and baseball.

Sophomores

Maggie Fett is the daughter of Bob and Sue Fett, 536 Hunters Run, Bluffton. She participates in the tennis team, Art Club, Math Club, Spanish Club, SADD and tutors fourth and fifth graders. She attends English Lutheran Church, works at The Centre and attends Campus Life.

Cody Gesler is the son of Christine, 109 Sally Lane, Bluffton, and Doug, 9360 Zurflugh Road, Bluffton. He participates in a bowling team at Southgate Lanes and previously participated on Bluffton swim team.

Freshmen

Ana Spiridigliozzi is the daughter of Scott and Gail Spiridigliozzi, 423 S. Main St., Bluffton. She participates in soccer and is a soccer referee.

Gabe Denecker is the son of Greg and Christine Denecker, 586 Birch Court, Bluffton. He is a member of the basketball team and St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Drivers

Katie Breidenbach is the daughter of Troy and Cindy Breidenbach, 101 Hawthorn Court, Bluffton. She is in show choir and chamber choir and University of Findlay Orchestra. She hopes to major in music education.

Kennedie Lynn Kistler is the daughter of Rachel Webster, 585 Birch Court, Bluffton. She works at McDonald's and hopes to attend Michigan State University and pursue nursing.

Jonatan Moser is the son of Chris Moser and Carmen Ordonez, 12300 Bentley Road, Bluffton. He is in Spanish Club, varsity soccer, Boy Scouts and is a member of First Mennonite Church youth group. 

Emily Schwager is the daughter of Jan and Pete Schwager. She is in Art Club, Academic Team, National Honor Society, plays, musicals and is an SOS tutor. She is on the leadership team at her church, 4-H camp counselor, junior fair board and 4-H. She plans to attend either Kent State University or Ohio University.

Gabrielle Sneary is the daughter of Dan Sneary and Cynthia and Terry Sneary, 129 E. Elm St., Bluffton. She is in art club, is an art tutor, concert choir, student helper and chamber choir. She plays indoor soccer, works at Community Market and Polished. She hopes to an an ultrasound technician.

Celeste Stauber is the daughter of Rory Stauber and Cindy Banish, 130 Garmatter St., Bluffton. She is in Spanish Club and Drama Club. She is a violin and piano teacher at Krysti's Music Studio, works at Wendy's, and takes dance classes at Rhythmn in Motion Dance Centre. She hopes to pursue a career in arts administration.

Billy Theisen is the son of Bill and Beth Theisen, 221 N. Bentley Road, Bluffton. He is in soccer, academic team, Math Club, SADD, class vice president, Chess Club and Lation Club. He is a library volunteer, church youth leader and plays club soccer. 

Homecoming events

The Bluffton High School Football Moms have several events planned. A homecoming bonfire is at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the parking lot at the stadium on College Avenue. The event will include the cheerleaders and BHS band. The event is open to the public.

A homecoming parade forms at 5 p.m. at The Centre on Friday, Oct. 4. The parade starts at 6 p.m. Youth sixth grade and younger should line up at the Bluffton swimming pool area.

The Football Moms invite groups, organizations and churches to participate in the parade. Give-a-ways (candy and small items) are encouraged, however, all items must be handed out by walkers and not tossed from vehicles or floats.
