The Food Store celebrates 31 years on Main Street on Saturday
The Food Store, 103 S. Main St., celebrates 31 years on Main on Saturday, Oct. 29.
According to owners, the anniversary celebration features food sampling and a
variety of special offers for customers.
When owners, Jon and Sally Weaver Sommer and Hans and Linda Houshower,
renovated a vacant building on Main Street and opened a natural foods store
in 1985, the natural foods industry was just getting started.
The partners said that they did not imagine they would be serving customers for over 30 years by providing natural and organic foods and products along with information to support healthy lifestyles and special dietary needs.
"Today, growing numbers of consumers are looking for natural and organic products and the Food Store is pleased to provide these options in Bluffton and as part of the Main Street business community," said Jon Sommer.
He added: "The Food Store team appreciates the support of the Bluffton community and our customers over these 31 years and invite all to visit the store on Saturday."
The event includes store specials, food sampling and anniversary give-aways.
