“On Our Way Rejoicing!” Organ/Piano Recital

Bluffton’s English Lutheran Church will hold an organ and piano recital at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, October 16. The recital at 111 Grove St. is part of the church's 150th anniversary celebrations and will feature Scott Edwards on organ and Sandy Miller on piano. They will play hymn arrangements celebrating the church’s liturgical year.

A Community Breakfast (of pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, coffee, milk, juice) will be held at Bluffton First United Methodist Church, 116 Church St., to benefit the youth group, mission trips and to be able to help families in need in the community.

Mornings with Mommy is a fun and easy way for you to enjoy activities with your infant through kindergarten age children (ages 0-6 years) and meet other moms. Dads, grandmas, grandpas, and nannies are welcome, too. These educational play-dates will began in September and will continue on the first and third Monday and Tuesday of each month from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera.

Bluffton First United Methodist Church is inviting the community to a photo day on Monday, Oct 17 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct 18 from 3:00-8:00 p.m.

All are welcome to come and get a family or individual photo taken; you do not have to be church members or be included the directory. Participants will receive a free 8x10 photo just for coming, no purchase necessary. Options will be available to order prints that should all arrive in time for Christmas.

Bluffton Presbyterian Church will hold a Blessing of the Animals event on Saturday, October 1 on the church lawn at 112 N. Main St., Bluffton. The 10:30 a.m. service will feature short readings and an individual blessing for each animal in attendance.

The invitation: "Furry, scaled, winged, or hoofed – all animals and their pet parents are invited! Animals must be leashed, crated, or otherwise contained. Photographs of pets who cannot attend are also welcome."
