COLUMBUS–At the Ohio Middle Level Association annual state conference, held in Columbus November 10-11, 2022, head cook Rosanne Garmatter and the 8th grade team at Bluffton Middle School received special recognition.
Garmatter, who is the head cook at Bluffton Middle School and Bluffton High School, won a Northwest Ohio Regional Award.
Dominion Energy is sharing the following “scam red flags” and urging customers to watch out for utility scammers. This advice applies to scam calls in general.
"Even if the caller ID says Dominion Energy, our customers should be on alert about demands for immediate payment and threats of service disconnection," said Utibe Bassey, Dominion Energy's vice president of Customer Experience. "That is not how we do business. When any warning sign is present, hang up. Never share personal information."
The final Advent service of the season will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14.
Organizers note, “this special service will be presented by the preschool-aged children. They will tell about the promises that God made for us.”
A sliders meal will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. by the 7th and 8th grade students and refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. Everyone is welcome and the church is handicapped accessible.

The Bluffton University women's soccer team is leading a youth soccer camp for ages U8-U15 on January 16 (MLK Day) at Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Rd.
The camp will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the arena.
