Despite the restrictions that the corona virus has put on many of our regular activities, the butterfly project at Maple Crest has been thriving as usual this summer.
The only exception is that the only people who are privileged to visit the project this summer are the Maple Crest independent living residents and staff.
For those readers who have not heard of our ongoing summer project (one that began at Maple Crest way back in 2007) let me fill you in.

With the reopening of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., several programs have restarted on a limited basis. One of those is quilting. Here is Leannah Reigle working on a quilt top. Several volunteers are involved in this project.

Icon viewers:
It was nice to read about the "old swimming hole" on Riley Creek. My brothers Russell and Jim and some local friends spent a lot of days in the water just before the dam. I appreciate keeping up with the Bluffton Icon. We lived at 327 Cherry St. and then moved to Colorado in 1953.
Thanks forthe memory.
