Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Dr. Amy Acton, MD, MPH, on May 15 provided the following sector opening dates established as part of the Responsible RestartOhio plan.
CHILD CARE: MAY 31
Beginning Sunday, May 31, childcare providers in Ohio will be permitted to reopen if these providers can meet required safety protocols.
Doris Lillian (Krause) Fuerstenau, 99, died on her birthday, at 4:30 a.m., May 7, 2020. She moved to Ohio, near her son, Mark and his family, last October, when she was no longer physically able to remain in her own home. She was originally from Richmond, Michigan.
Born on May 7, 1921, to Herman and Wilhelmina (Killian) Krause, She married Charles Fuerstenau and they were married for 69 years. He died in 2009.

Teacher Appreciation Week was May 4-8. In cooperation with the Bluffton PTO, the Icon is posting drawings of elementary teachers created by elementary students.
