Mustard Seed Cafe weekend features

Celebrating our hometown of Bluffton, Ohio, our people and our students as we come together this weekend to celebrate the Fall Festival (see Facebook page "Bluffton Fall Festival") and BHS Homecoming Weekend. Join us for some homestyle offerings.

DINNER FEATURES:
Bacon Cheeseburger with our house potato chips
Roast Beef with Smashed Red Potatoes & Gravy and roasted green beans
Fettucine Alfredo with a choice of seared chicken breast or pan-fried shrimp

Lions hear about scams from BBB

Cheryl Parson, Lima Better Business Bureau chapter president, spoke to the Bluffton Lions Club on Sept. 16. Her talk listed current and past scams and schemes used by persons against individuals and buinesses.

An update on several Lions activities is in the October newsletter, which is an attachment at the bottom of this story.

A new picture book with a John P. Klassen storyline

A new children’s book, published by The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center of Bluffton University, tells a true story of violence turned to hope through the eyes of a fictional boy in 1920s Ukraine.

It's mis-match day at school

Hannah Davis, Bluffton fourth grader models her mis-match day outfit. The day was one of several special dress-up days for Bluffton school students thanks to Homecoming Week.

The Icon found Hannah after school and she agreed to talk with us about her special outfit for the day.

According to Hannah, her shoes don't match, she has several different hair styles, and check out her socks.

Then, there's severall mis-matched jewelry items including Halloween, Christmas, winter, and Fourth of July.

To top it off, she has a fancy scarf mis-matched with casual clothes.
