Mobile health clinic Friday at the library

Provided by ONU HealthWise Pharmacy - 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Bluffton Public Library will host a mobile health clinic on Friday, April 30, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

All services are provided by individuals with the Ohio Northern University Healthwise program. The Mobile Health Clinic bus is usually parked in front of the library on Main Street during visits.

This clinic includes free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol (please fast for 12 hours to participate in cholesterol or blood sugar screening).

Cory-Rawson stops Pirates

Pirate freshman Garret Bogart collected 3 hits and 2 runs batted in. Braeden Jordan scored two runs and had 2 hits.

BLUFFTON - Bluffton's scheduled non-conference softball game vs. Cory-Rawson was postponed Tuesday evening. 

Low Hornet roster numbers due to injury and illness caused the cancellation, and the game will not be made up.

Bluffton (3-10, 2-4 Northwest Conference) resumes league play Thursday at Columbus Grove (8-7, 1-3 NWC). Grove crushed Continental 17-1 Tuesday evening.

The Pirate girls then host future NWC member Leipsic (7-5) Friday, April 30 and visit Arlington (3-9) for a non-league doubleheader Saturday, May 1.

Citizens National Bank hosts shredding service

Friday – part of Community Banking Month celebration

Citizens National Bank celebrates Community Banking Month with a special event on Friday.

Persons stopping in the Bluffton Main Street bank location may enter to win a community gift basket valued at more than $150. Entries may also be made online at the bank’s website, www.cnbohio.com. The drawing will be held Friday, April 30.

Also, Citizens is hosting a community shred day on Friday.

Leslie Diaz, Riley Garmatter in university ambassador program

Leslie Diaz and Riley Garmatter, Bluffton, were named to the Bluffton University’s President’s Ambassador Program.

Starting in the 2021-22 academic year, Bluffton will launch the President’s Ambassador Program, a group of high-achieving students who will assist in recruiting prospective students, welcome and greet guests to campus, and engage with alumni and donors.

Last week Bluffton schools heldits own solo and ensemble contest. OMEA hosted a virtual one for the state. Bluffton meanwhile, held its own contest. Results follow:
