Two members of the Bluffton University men's soccer team have been named Honorable Mention All-Heartland Conference following the 2018 season. Sophomore Timothy Murphy (Chesterfield, Twp., MI/L'Anse Creuse) and freshman Dalton Taynor(Troy/Miami East) were honored for their work on the pitch.
Tim Murphy buried a penalty kick for his first collegiate goal at Wittenberg on September 7. He has started 32 matches over the past two seasons with 15 shots, including 13 this year. It marks the second straight All-Heartland Conference honor for Murphy
Dr. Jonathan Andreas, Howard Raid professor of business, will present “The Just Deserts of Capitalism and the Giant Turnip,” at 4 p.m. on Nov. 30 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Kerry Pinion, manager of client accounts at Automatic Data Processing in Findlay, Ohio, will speak during a Bluffton University Alumni Forum at 11 a.m. on Nov. 20 in Stutzman Lecture Hall. The title of her presentation is “Beginning with the End in Mind: Preparing to Join the Workforce.”
As a manager or recruiting services for the Fortune 500 company, Pinion will share insights on preparing for the future, landing the job and being successful in the workplace.
A 1996 graduate, Pinion studied business administration at Bluffton.

The senior from Van Wert is getting a picture with all of the people who have helped him succeed at Bluffton University. That way, he can always keep near a reminder of their encouragement and tough love.
“I tell them thank you, but I don’t think they understand my level of gratitude and care,” said Salcido, a business administration and sports management double major.
Senior Isaac Zickafoose (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge) headlined the 2018 All-Heartland Conference football team that was announced on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
The HCAC Defensive Player of the Year was one of nine Beavers to be recognized when the post-season hardware was handed out. Bluffton had five players land on the Second Team and three more earned Honorable Mention recognition.
The Second HCAC Defensive Player of the Year award for Zickafoose also marked the fourth time in five years that a Beaver has taken home the top HCAC honor on the defensive side of the ball.
