BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s basketball team faced off against the other purple school, Defiance College, in a conference battle at home on Wednesday, Jan. 10. The Beavers went up by double digits near the end of the first half and didn’t look back as they swatted the Yellow Jackets, 75-47, to improve to 6-8 (3-4 HCAC) on the season. DC fell to 3-11 and 2-5 in the conference.
On the day following Valentine’s Day, spend an elegant evening in the company of loved ones and friends during “Love is in the Air.”
This “Thursdays at Yoder” event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15, in the lobby of Yoder Recital Hall and will feature an evening of live music by Bluffton’s talented faculty and students.
Bluffton University’s Grace Albrecht Gallery will host “Unconfirmed” by John Dickinson, a 2D and 3D mix artist.
Opening Wednesday, Jan. 10, the exhibit is free and open to the public through Jan. 26. Gallery hours in the Sauder Visual Arts Center are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
A reception for the artist will be held from 1-3 p.m. on opening day, Sunday, Jan. 21.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women’s basketball team looked to continue its hot start in conference play when they faced off against Anderson University on Saturday, Jan. 6. Ball movement was key as four Beavers notched double-figures in the scoring column with Bluffton marching to a 72-43 win over the Ravens while moving to 10-3 (5-1 HCAC) on the season.

After controlling the tip, the Ravens scored first and never trailed as Bluffton fell to the visitors by an 80-70 margin. The loss dropped the Beavers at 5-8 overall (2-4 HCAC), while Anderson improved to 8-5 (3-3 HCAC).
