The Lima Building and Construction Trades hosts its annual holiday luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, in the City Club, 114 S. Main St., Lima.
Each year the Trades holds this party as a way to say thank you to the industry owners and managers, contractors and members of the public who employ their craftsmen.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs will hold an open house from 1 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, in its new offices at 110 S. Main St., Bluffton. The new office is located in the Citizens National Bank building and has its own entrance to Main Street. A ribbon cutting is planned at 2 p.m.
“The open house enables entrepreneurs in our service area to learn more about the benefits that BCE offers,” said Brendon Matthews, BCE board president.
Christina Dare, photo artist, will have an exhibit of her work at Book ReViews, 123 S. Main St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, according to Dr. Christina Walton, manager.
Dare will talk about her photos during the show.
After retiring from Owens Community College, Dare’s hobby became a full time successful award winning photography career with photo art exhibits in Ohio and international online venue.
Her photos use micro and macro elements of design and manipulation of flora, sky, nature and fractals.
Bluffton’s newest business, Li Co Chinese and Italian Restaurant, will open for business on Monday, Nov. 30.
Located in the former Bluffton KFC Restaurant, 415 State Route 103, Bluffton, the restaurant will be open seven days a week.
Wen and Cheng Tsai of Lima are the owners. The couple will work in all aspects of the business including the kitchen. In addition, Allen Chu, who also has several years of restaurant background in Taiwan, is the restaurant’s Italian chef.
