Bluffton’s next American Red Cross blood drive is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 20, in the new gym at Bluffton High. All donors receive a t-shirt.

The Bluffton High School Junior Class will hold a pancake/sausage breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at the Bluffton McDonald's.

The meal includes

• All you can eat pancakes
• Sausage patty
• Small drink

(419) 234-4178. All proceeds will go to the Bluffton 2014 Post Prom.

SHANNON Service Club will hold its annual spring indoor garage sale Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 1, at The Centre of Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.

Hours are Feb. 28 from 4:30 to 8 p.m., and March 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. Admission is $1 except on Friday when it is free for those buying an eat-in chicken dinner.

Friday's chicken barbecue is prepared by Harlan’s of Pandora. It includes one-half chicken potatoes au gratin, green beans and a roll with butter. Dinner is served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Carry outs can be picked up at the Centre’s north door. 

Bluffton Hospital will hold a colorama bowling fun night on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29.

Lanes are filled for March 29, but some spots remain on March 28. Call 419-358-5002 to reserve a lane.

The fund-raiser includes many donated prizes. Bowling tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve a lane. Bowling donation tickets are $20 each for persons ages 18 and older.

ArtSpace/Lima will host the 26th Annual Kewpee High School Art Invitational from February 28 - April 12. Thanks to the continued support of Harry Shutt and the Kewpee Restaurants, this exhibition will once again highlight student artists from area high schools, and will include works in nine categories: sculpture, photography, ceramics, painting, digital media, mixed media, printmaking, jewelry, and drawing.

Artists from 20 area high schools will be exhibiting their work. Jurors selected 82 pieces for the show from the 358 works entered.

Matt Schroeder, author of "The Rest is Up to You," will have a book signing at Book Reviews, 123 S. Main St., Bluffton, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 1, according to Christina Walton, store manager.

Schroeder's book tells a compelling story of his horrific car accident on black ice, his severe injuries, and his long road to recovery and triumph.
