Get your costume ready. BFR Sports and Fitness, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton, will hold a family-oriented community Halloween party from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, according to Maranda P. Miller of BFR.
"This is a family event and no scary costumes are allowed," said Miller.
The event will include crafts and games from 2 to 3 p.m. and a costume contest at 3 p.m. Costume contest categories follow:
• Family/teen category
• Age group 0 to 3
• Age group 4 to 6
• Age group 7 to 10
• Age group 11 +
The Findlay Service League (FSL) holds its semiannual Holiday Homes Tour on Saturday, Nov. 9 from noon-8 p.m. Held in the Pheasant Run neighborhood this year, the tour will feature four homes, each meticulously decorated for the holiday season by local designers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to walk through each home, catch a glimpse of their handcrafted architectural features, and enjoy the sparkle of the custom decorations that adorn them.

The ghosts of history past will come to life at the Allen County Museum, Lima, on Thursday, Oct. 17.
