Kennedy Coughlan, a Bluffton High School senior, is the BHS student of the month for March.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, is on the Buccaneer yearbook staff and is an S.O.S. tutor at the elementary school.
Kennedy was captain of the BHS golf team. She has received academic awards throughout high school including best in accounting. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, enjoys photography and Disney and in her spare time she likes to take care of her animals, golf, and volunteer at Challenged Champions.
Due to construction on West Elm Street, the annual Mennonite Memorial Home Easter egg hunt will move to the Bluffton University campus.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, starting promptly at 10 a.m. The location on campus is the practice soccer field, near the tennis courts. Access is off of Rosenberger Drive. These is no access from West Elm Street.
This year’s Easter egg hunt will feature more than 3,000 eggs filled with candy by Mennonite Memorial Home elders. Participants can also register for the drawing for four Easter baskets.
Naomi Basinger will celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday, April 13, from 2-4 p.m. with an open house at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. (No gifts please). Birthday wishes may be sent to her at: 304 Hilty Dr, Pandora OH 45877.
Lacey Boyle, a Bluffton High School senior, is the Icon's artist of the month. Among her art interests is photography, as evident in this photo she took titled "Warped Reality 2."
Lacey has taken Art 1, Photography and Advanced Photography. Her plans after high school undecided.
One of the projects she is currently involved in is the Senior Slideshow to be shown during graduation. She is working on that Kaitlyn Clymer.
