School is back in session and January is full of activites. Here’s some of the event in January on the Bluffton High School website:
Drama Club spring auditions: Students interested in trying out for the spring play need to pick up information outside of the choir room this week. Audition are Monday Jan. 13, at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m.
Red Cross bood drive: A Red Cross bood drive is Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the high school gym.
Was volunteer chair for "Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk" in Dayton

Amy J. Gallant Linaberry, 48 of Kettering, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020,at her home after a courageous eight year battle with breast cancer. She was born Oct. 2, 1971 in Bluffton, Ohio, to Darryl and Marcia (Boutwell) Gallant. Amy married Matthew Linaberry on Oct. 20, 2012, in Kettering.
Amy graduated from Bluffton High School in 1990. She graduated from Lima Technical College in 1993 with a degree in Early Education and graduated in 2006 from Wright State University with a degree in Social Work.

While a generation of Et Cetera Shop shoppers will remember Glennys Henry as a long-time volunteer, an earlier generation of Bluffton youth, now adults, will remember her as an elementary teacher.
She died Jan. 4, just shy of her 95th birthday. CLICK HERE for Glennys' obituary.
Glennys was passionate about helping those in need and giving of her time as often as possible, regardless of the cause.

Retired Blufton school teacher Glennys Alene Henry, died on Jan. 4, 2020, due to age related complications, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, just one week shy of her 95th birthday.
The youngest of four children, she was born at the home farm eight miles from Moundridge, Kan., to Christian D. and Reina Wedel Kaufman. Preceding her in death were her siblings Orlo, Elva, and Tilmar.

Berne, Ind. - The Bluffton Swim Club competed at the South Adams Invitational meet Saturday at South Adams High School in Berne, Indiana.
Freshman Riley Verb won the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke races to lead BSC.
The Bluffton girls swimmers finished sixth out of eight schools, while the BSC boys came in fifth. In the combined team standings, Bluffton ended up sixth.
Allison Diller came in fourth in the 200 IM and sixth in the 100 breaststroke to post the top Bluffton girls individual finishes.
