BVHS updates covid-19 guidelines

As COVID-19 guidelines change, Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) will continue to work in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) while providing healthcare services to the community.

“Masks will still be required at all BVHS locations until further notice,” said Roxanne Williams, MSN, RN, CHC, CPHQ, director of corporate quality, associate and patient safety.

Funeral arrangements incomplete for Dean Falk

Harold “Dean” Falk, 86, died June 18, 2021, at the Meadows of Delphos.  Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Pre-orders are now available for a Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio history book, "How it came to be...and to grow, 1945-2019."

ODOT road work will affect traffic patterns next week

Involving State Route 103, U.S. 30 and I-75

Several construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Allen County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

• Interstate 75 at the village of Beaverdam will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction. Nighttime lane closures to resume on Sunday, June 20. Lane restrictions expected nightly, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., for nighttime paving operations.

• U.S. 30 under the Slabtown Road overpass, between Stewart Road and Mayberry Road, will be restricted to one lane in both directions June through August to repair the structure.

Festival of Wheels cancelled today • May take place on another date this summer

Blame it on the weather.

The Bluffton Lions Club Festival of Wheels set for today (Friday, June 18) is cancelled according to Dan Diller, chair of the event.

He said that the club is working on a plan to hold the festival later this summer. Watch the Icon for updates.

In the meantime, Bubba BBQ will be on Main Street throughout the day, offering its barbecue menu.
