Bluffton post 382 holds potluck and will install officers

Bluffton American Legion Post 382 will have a potluck dinner at 6 p.m., Monday, June 21, at the Buckeye shelter house. Casual dress. The post will provide the meat, drinks and service items.

Veterans please bring a cold or hot dish. Veterans and their spouses are invited, but please RSVP (call 419-358-0334 or 419-303-7736) as space is limited. After the meal the officers for 2021-2022 will be installed.

Look very closely

If you look very closely at this photo, near the bottom center, you'll see a small preying mantis on a red leaf. This guy appears to live on this flower located in the Icon's side yard. It's about one-inch long. Check your flowers. Perhaps there's one watching you on one of your own plants.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs supports start-up businesses in a four-county area

The Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs has elected new members to serve on the board of directors of the 501c3 non-profit, which supports entrepreneurship in Allen, Hancock, Hardin and Putnam counties, according to Paula Scott, director of BCE.

In May 2021 the board elected Lisa Wenger and Tammy Whitlow as new members. Wenger is a realtor based at CCR Realtors Bluffton office, 122 N. Main St. Whitlow is the vice president of Diamond Manufacturing of Bluffton, 505 E. Jefferson St.

Last day of school 2004

On the final day of school in 2004 Phil Zimmerly, at the time a bus driver for Buckeye Charter, drove his sister and a group of her friends to the Bluffton Dairy Freeze as an end-of-school treat.

We found this photo is a box of miscellanous Blufffton photos. 

From left, Elvira Tatarkov, Lauren Kenoyer, Meredith Bixel, Katlyn Sheridan, Ashton Cluts, Amber Risner, Andrea Spallinger and Brittany Spence. This was the end of 5th grade for these girls.
