Jerry Musser owned J.F. Musser Co.
Jerry F. Musser, 72, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Lima to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Jackson) Musser. On May 9, 1964, he married Carol Kleman Musser and she survives.
Jerry worked at Wonder Bread 20 two years prior to starting his own business, J.F. Musser Co. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton.
Jerry was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles both of Lima and Ottawa, the Sons of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors also include four daughters, Chris (Jeff) Thompson of Wapakoneta, Sandy (Dan) Wade of Bluffton, South Carolina, Trisha (Steve) Stewart of Lebanon, Ohio, and Karen Musser of Bluffton, Ohio; six grandchildren Brant (Shelby) Thompson, Trevor (Tera) Thompson, Madison Stewart, Spencer Stewart, Logan (fiance Alaina Bixel) Skelly, Lydia Skelly; three great grandchildren, Gavin, Harper Jo and Avery Thompson; a sister, Carmen (Dwight) Axe of Wapakoneta; a brother, Mike (Chris) Musser of New Knoxville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Thelma Musser of Wapakoneta and several extended family members including the Klemans and the Erfords.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Musser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father John Stites officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton following the service.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
