Beaver's Clark HCAC defensive player of the week
Senior Doniven Clark (Toledo Bowsher) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense after leading Bluffton to a 13-0 shutout at Anderson.
He is the second Beaver to earn HCAC Player of the Week honors following Adam Duncan who was the Special Teams Player of the Week following his 13 points scored at Trine.
The defensive back tied Pat Craun's school record with three interceptions in a game on Saturday at Anderson University. Clark helped the Beavers to their second shutout of the season, which is the first time Bluffton has posted two shutouts since 2012. He also recorded two tackles and one pass breakup in the victory.
The Bluffton University football team (2-6, 2-4 HCAC) will travel to Franklin College on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 1:30 p.m.
