You’ve heard her perform at the Blaze of Lights
A young performer with a Bluffton connection will perform in the Saturday, Feb. 23, Ohio Has Talent competition, at Niswonger Performing Arts Center, Van Wert.
Raegan Cox, 14, a Miller City HS freshman, is the performer. Raegan performed at this year’s Blaze of Lights in November. She takes vocal and piano lessons at Krysti’s Music Studio, Bluffton.
She has been singing and entertaining people for most of her life. In 5th grade, she was accepted in an All-State Choir and performed with 88 other 4thand 5th graders at Capital University.
In 2015, Raegan submitted an online audition to America’s Got Talent. The producers contacted her the next day, inviting her to perform a live audition in Detroit.
In 2017, Raegan performed at Ohio Has Talent. She also performed at the OMEA District choir concert. She is a member of Youth Theatre at the Marathon Center for Performing Arts, Findlay.
Raegan is on the Miller City Wildcat swim team, marching band color guard, pep band, school band, school choir and cantors and sings in her church choir.
She is a member of P.A.R.T.Y. (Putnam Adolescent Response Team for Youth), a youth-led group whose mission is to use positive peer pressure to encourage positive choices and to prevent underage use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Tickets for the Van Wert program are available at www.NPACVW.org or by calling 419-238-9223. Proceeds benefit Hospice Patient Care of Community Health Professionals that has an office in Ada.
Acts compete for prize money based on audience votes. She is the daughter of Craig and Heather Cox, Leipsic.
