Cemetery Commission will get community input through a survey
The Shannon Cemetery Commission, meeting Sept. 3, agreed to use a survey devised by one of its members to get a pulse of the community's views on the cemetery's future.
Harriet Moyer of the commission created the survey that was approved by the commission.
"This is an outreach attempt to look at other segments of the community," she said about the survey.
The survey is an attachment at the bottom of this story.
The commission approved to present the survey to the following four community groups:
• American Legion Post
• Bluffton Lions Club
• Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members
• Bluffton Area Ministerial Association
The survey includes two pages with an introduction page. Four concepts are presented on the survey's first page (see survey for description) and nine items that could be considered for the cemetery are listed on the second page.
