Douglas MacDonald 1931 - 2018
Douglas G. MacDonald, 87, died Sept. 13, 2018, at Lima Memorial Health System. Douglas was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to the late Gordon and Eugenia (Brizzolari) MacDonald. On May 26, 1950, he married Joanne Clutinger MacDonald and she survives.
Douglas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant where he had been an electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne MacDonald of Harrod; two sons, Dudley MacDonald of Bluffton, Stanley (Terri) MacDonald of Springfield, Ohio; five daughters, Rosalie MacDonald of Lima, Carol (Steve) Starkey of Lima, Janie (Clyde) Wireman of Bluffton, Darlene (Jerry) Yarnetsky of Oxford, Ohio, Sharon (Dick) Sidders of Bellefontaine; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a brother, Art MacDonald of Pennsylvania.
Douglas was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon MacDonald, Norman MacDonald and a sister, Jean Paulson.
Private family services will be held.
