MHCO announces partnership with Brethren Retirement Community
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) and Brethren Retirement Community (BRC) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Brethren Home Management Services (BHMS), LLC announce the execution of an executive consulting partnership beginning Nov. 5.
Through this arrangement, BHMS will work closely with the MHCO board, staff, and leadership team to provide C-Suite support and other strategic, operational and financial services as MHCO continues to serve the community and build upon the foundation of care that has flourished since 1955.
Elizabeth Kelly, MHCO board chair, said, “The Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio board is committed to the long-term goal of providing outstanding care and senior services in our region.
"Our partnership with Brethren Home Management Services solidifies this commitment and provides us with many opportunities to build upon our strategic and operational plans.”
John Fischbach team leader
Mennonite Home Communities’ board of directors recently appointed John Fischbach as team leader. With 18 years of experience in healthcare finance serving in senior leadership roles, Fischbach will also continue his role as chief financial officer.
MHCO is the leading provider of senior housing and healthcare for more than 60 years in the Bluffton and Pandora areas. As a non-profit, locally-owned organization, MHCO provides independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, short-term rehab, childcare services, and home health and senior services through four area campuses.
Kara Allread, vice president and chief administrative officer of BRC, said, “Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio has a longstanding tradition of providing exceptional care and services in the area.
"Our vision, mission and values align quite well with theirs so entering into an executive consulting agreement is a good fit for both of us.
"We are pleased to begin to work with MHCO and look forward to partnering with them as together we move their mission forward in Bluffton, Pandora and the surrounding communities.”
