Jason and Tammy Kinsinger purchase Vetter Lumber
A Bluffton business changed hands earlier this fall as Jason and Tammy Kinsinger announce their purchase of Vetter Lumber of Bluffton and Ft. Jennings.
Known as “your hometown lumberyard,” locations are 501 Harmon Road, Bluffton, and 235 N. Water St., Ft. Jennings.
Kinsinger has a background in construction and stone quarry management. He worked with his father, Mark Kinsinger, for several years in house construction and remodeling. For the past seven years he operated Putnam Aggregates, Ottawa.
“We will keep the Vetter Lumber name,” said Kinsinger. “And, we plan to add additional lines to the lumber yard, including custom-made kitchen cabinets, Amish-made furniture and poly-outdoor furniture.”
The staff at both locations will remain in place. Bluffton’s staff includes Bob Thompson, Dan Gillette, Tracy Rogers, Roger Hoffer and Brian Hites.
The full-service lumber yard offers a complete-range of supplies with well-known brand names.
These include, but are not limited to: Anderson Windows, Masonite Entry Doors, Superior Aluminum Railing, Valspar Paint, TimberTech Decking, Makita Tools, with DeWalt Power Tools coming on board soon.
Vetter provides hardware, plumbing, garage doors, and housing material including drywall, treated lumber, siding, shingles and electrical supplies.
The lumber yard also has a full fleet of delivery trucks.
Kinsinger said, “We also provide house designs and blueprints and premium grade construction materials. The community knows that we have an experienced staff and we will continue with that hometown quality customer service.”
“Our staff looks forward to continuing our quality service with our customers,” he said.
Jason and Tammy are both Pandora-Gilboa High School graduates. They have four children, Jacob, Aubrey, Kaylee and Ty, and live at 16570 Road 2, Pandora.
They also operate a 125-acre farm with 50 head of cattle.
In addition to her involvement in the lumber yard, Tammy is a radiology technologist with Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
A grand opening is planned later.
Vetter hours are:
Mondays to Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 8 to 11:30 a.m.
