Bluffton spikers eliminated by Panthers

OTTAWA - The Bluffton girls volleyball team lost a four-set match to Parkway Wednesday night in Div. III sectional final play at Ottawa to end their season.
Bluffton finished up with a 14-9 record after the 25-21, 9-25, 25-14, 26-24 defeat.
Parkway improved to 13-10 with the victory, and advanced to the district semifinals.
Junior hitter Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirates with 15 kills, eight digs and one block. Well-rounded Taylor Schwab amassed 13 kills and two blocks.
Pirate junior setter Skyler Scoles dished out 29 assists and served one ace. Junior defensive specialist Kylie Monday hustled up eight digs, while classmate Cara Young compiled 10 digs.
Junior Sophie Bricker also contributed 10 digs.
Parkway is 12-3 in non-MAC matches, and will visit top-seeded Ottawa-Glandorf Monday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. in the district semifinals.
Liberty-Benton was seeded second in the 13-team district, and Coldwater is third.
The district finals are set for Wednesday, Oct. 28 a the higher-seeded finalist.
