Guest presenter Fred-in-Stein takes viewers to the Bluffton Triangle for stories you've never heard before

Want to hear some of the most pulse-pound, unexplained, dark, stories rumored to take place in Bluffton?

Recognized authority, Fred-in-Stein, pictured with his friend, Frank, takes viewers on a journey to the Bluffton Triangle, in a Bluffton Public Library-sponsored evening of creepy Bluffton stories, each carrying a Halloween twist that you’d like to forget.

The program starts shortly after dark, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, on a Zoom link from the library.

This highly uncomfortable program features many unexplained tales from Bluffton’s vault of forgotten lore.

Jared Diller of Pandora becomes executive director on Nov. 1

Bluffton resident Don Leader, executive director of Youth for Christ of Northwest Ohio, will retire at the end of October after serving 19 years in the position, according to YFC board chair Mark Yoder, also of Bluffton.

Jared Diller of Pandora, ministry director of the local YFC and for five years director of Rally Point, a Lima-based ministry, will replace Leader. 

The Bluffton Public Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, via video conferencing. To request an invitation for the meeting, please contact Jessica Hermiller, Director, at [email protected].  

Here are the tournament brackets for Bluffton High School volleyball, girls' soccer and boys' soccer.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, will host a Trunk or Treat event Friday, Oct. 30 (rain date-Saturday, Oct. 31) at 5:30 p.m, in the church parking lot. 

All events will be outdoors and Covid protocol will be observed. There will be cars/vehicles with decorated trunks, people handing out free goodies, free pumpkin decorating and games. Food will be available for purchase.
