The Bluffton High School student of the month for January 2024 is Alissa Beck, daughter of Monica and Andrew Beck. Alissa is a senior with a 3.938 GPA.
Beck is a member of the Drama Club, Show Choir, Chamber Choir and BHS Marching Band-Color Guard, where she was the captain the past two years as well as secretary.
She also received Academic Letter awards her 10th-12th grade years. Alissa volunteers as a classroom helper at Bluffton Elementary School. She is a member of her church youth group and also volunteers for the Awanas Club at church.
She enjoys reading, crafts and board or card games in her spare time.
The Board of Commissioners of the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District, which includes Bluffton's Motter Park, will hold their monthly Board meeting, on Tues., Feb. 20, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Park Conference Room.

BLUFFTON – The Bluffton High School boys basketball team broke away from a tie with a big final period to defeat visiting Western Buckeye League foe Elida 73-66 in a non-league home game on Tuesday, February 13.
The February monthly meeting of the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society will be Wednesday evening, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held on the third floor of Bluffton City Hall.
