The Bluffton Police Department has announced: "There have been several vehicles broken into in the area over the last few weeks. Please remember to lock your doors and take all of your valuables, purses (bags), money etc. out of your vehicles when left unattended." 

Bluffton Middle School has announced the following Honor Roll for the second quarter of the 2024-2025 academic year. There are designations for All A and A/B status.

The following meetings have been announced by the Village of Bluffton and will be held at Town Hall, 154 N. Main St. The meetings are also listed on the Icon's calendar.

Streets, Alleys, Lights & Sidewalks Committee on Wednesday, January 29 at 5:00 p.m.

Parks & Recreation Committee on Thursday, January 30 at 10:30 a.m. (Park Playground)

Parks & Recreation Committee on Thursday, January 30 at 11:30 a.m. (2025 Pool Rates & Staffing)

Utilities Committee on Thursday, January 30 at 3:00 p.m.

On January 23, 15 spellers from grades 6-8 competed in the Bluffton Middle School spelling bee. An 8th grade student, Marissa Dennis, survived round after round, winning with the word “salvageable.” She qualified to represent Bluffton in the Allen County Spelling Bee. The second runner up, Elijah Lewis, will represent Bluffton if Dennis is unavailable.

Three teachers teamed up to run the bee: pronouncer Hailey Coliigan and judges Natalie Armstrong and Becky Boblitt.

Nine new Bluffton Senior Center members are welcomed in the February 2025 newsletter, including some from Ada and Leipsic as well as from Bluffton.

Dues may be paid in person at the center, 132 N. Main St., by mailing a check or over the phone with a credit card. The member newsletter is available by standard mail or by email.

The Bluffton Senior Center has over 700 members.
