The Anderson vs. Bluffton University basketball game, which had been scheduled for tonight (Feb. 2) has been moved to Monday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m.

Bluffton Public Library will be accepting silent bids for a "Super Bowl Fan Package" between Feb. 1 and Feb.19. The package contains a Wilson Super Bowl XLV football, an 8" x 10" signed print of Pittsburgh Steelers player number 43, Troy Polamalu, and two tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

The minimum starting bid for the package valued at an estimated $150 or more is $75. Bids may be placed in person at the library's circulation desk. The winning bidder will be notified by telephone on Feb. 21. Cash payment will be required.

Any fan, coach, and teammate would love to have a corner infielder capable of hitting .400 with plenty of pop to spare anchoring their batting order. For the Bluffton Beavers and Coach James Grandey they have such a player on their team.

All First Mennonite Church choir rehearsals are cancelled this evening, Feb. 2.

Doug and Sara Kisseberth

"It's surprising how many bad habits you pick up," Sara Kisseberth said about driving. Sara and her husband, Doug, own Drive Time Driving Instruction, a driver's education school. They operate out of Findlay and have classes in Bluffton as well.

After plans to purchase an established driver's education school fell through, Doug and Sara had enough knowledge and support from friends to branch out and start their own business last April.

No school, many businesses closed and Allen County on a Level 2 snow emergency, activities in the immediate Icon viewership area came to a halt on Groundhog's Day 2011.

With more than 2 inches of snow on the ground, the village is in a snow emergency situation. In it police are working with snow removal crews to get vehicles off the streets so that the snow plows can do their job.
