Bluffton Christians will worship together as a community body on Sunday morning as they have for the past several years. A community worship service, planned by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association, will be held at 9 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 1, on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn.

BFR announces plans for two summer event this week.
Goals Galore Aug. 15
Youth and adult teams are welcome to participate in the annual Goals Galore tournament to be held at BFR on Sunday, Aug. 15 beginning at1 p.m.
Matches are played on small-sized fields with only three field players. Youth divisions for U10, U12, U15 will be offered as well as adult divisions. Cost is $60 per team. Proceeds from the tournament will support BFR operations. Contact BFR directly or visit the website for registration materials.
The scenery at the corner of Harmon Road and Garau Street changes daily as the Bluffton Hospital renovation continues. The most recent Icon photo from two weeks ago at this site showed the corner open. It is now enclosed.
Ohio Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Findlay, announced this week that Dr. James Davidson is now accepting patients at Bluffton Hospital.His special interests include sports-related injuries, upper extremities, carpal tunnel release and total joint repair. Dr. Davidson's Orthopaedic Clinic will be open each Monday morning at the Bluffton Hospital.
Dr. Davidson grew up in Columbus and is a former football player forthe Ohio State Buckeyes. He has practiced medicine for over 11 years and serves as a team physician for the University of Findlay and Findlay High School.
Former Bluffton resident and teacher in the Bluffton school system, Jesse Steiner accepted an offer of a three-year contract as superintendent of Hicksville Exempted Village Schools earlier this week.
He replaces Dr. Kevin Miller, who has accepted the superintendent position at Ottawa Hills. Steiner's contract runs from Aug. 1-July 31, 2013.
