The Echocardiography Laboratories at Bluffton Hospital and Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH), Findlay, have been reaccredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL), according to Bill Watkins of the Bluffton Hospital.
The Bluffton and BVH echo labs perform echocardiograms, a non-invasive test that detects and manages heart disease.

Members the Bluffton fire department answered the call to that request all afternoon on Sunday at the Bluffton Dairy Freeze. Jon Kinn, fire chief, said that the department raised over $350 taking orders and making cones for Bill and Phyllis Marschal's customers.
"It's not our calling, but we did have fun," Kinn admits about the fundraiser. He said that only one cone was dropped during the afternoon.
Discolored water problems on Grove, Lawn and Poplar streets don't seem to go away. J. D. Yoder and Mike Edmiston of Grove Street asked Bluffton council on Monday to get the problem fixed as soon as possible.
Yoder showed samples of water from his faucet from today - the water resembled the color of cider. Edmiston showed particles of rust from his water and shared photos of discolored sinks caused by the rusty water.
Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, told council that the discoloration problems on these streets are persisting and even seem to be worsening.

St. John's United Church of Christ will hold an ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 7, at the church. The event is hosted by the Evangelism Committee.
The menu includes homemade ice cream, homemade fruit pies, Sara's hot meat sandwiches, hotdogs and potato chips. The event is open to the public.
