The Bluffton Lions Club Foundation and the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association will hold their annual pancake and sausage benefit Saturday, March 23, at the Center, 132 N. Main St.
Serving takes place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and youth under 5 are free when accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are now available from Lion members and at the Senior Center.
The Bluffton American Legion Post 382 fourth annual golf scramble is set for Saturday, June 8, at the Blufton Golf Club.
Tee time is 9 a.m. and the cost to play is $50 per person or $200 per team. Several prizes are offered including the first hole in one will win an automobile from Stratton's Auto Sales.

The Bluffton Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Easter bake sale in March. The event is from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 23, in front of Citizens National Bank/.
Students in Bluffton University’s International Connection group lead a multicultural chapel service in Yoder Recital Hall that kicked off Global Weekend on campus Feb. 14-16.
Sponsored by International Connection, the weekend’s events also included a screening of the 2002 film “Whale Rider” and, on Saturday, Feb. 16, an ethnic meal, a piñata for children and an international variety and fashion show.
Bluffton schools wil receive FEMA funds for clean-up of debris in Harmon Field. The school board will act on accepting the funds, totalling $7,549 at the Feb. 18 board meeting.

In other action, the board will act on several supplemental contracts, substitute contracts and assessment tutor contracts. Also to be acted up is the school district's 2013-14 open enrollment policy.
After more than 11 years of elected service, Dr. Eric Fulcomer has announced his intention to step down on Friday, March 1, as mayor of the Village of Bluffton. Fulcomer notified the Bluffton council members of his plans and submitted a letter of resignation to Nancy Kindle, the village’s fiscal officer.
“When I announced my candidacy for Mayor more than two years ago, I could not have imagined that I would be leaving the community at this time,” said Fulcomer.
The Bluffton University track and field program traveled to the campus of Defiance College to compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference indoor track and field championships on Saturday, Feb. 16.
The Beavers set two new school records as well as multiple personal bests on their way to two 7th place finishes. Hanover College captured the women’s indoor title, while the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won the men’s indoor title.
The Bluffton University women’s basketball season came to an end after a hard fought battle with regular season HCAC champion Transylvania University.
The Beavers lost 76-67 and missed out on the conference tournament by one game. Bluffton ended the season 12-13 and 7-11 in HCAC. Transylvania stands 20-5 and 16-2 in HCAC heading into next weekend's tournament in Lexington.
