You may receive a call from the IRS - ignore it - it's not a real IRS call

An Icon viewer alerted us to a phone scam taking place locally.

It goes like this: “The Internal Revenue Service initiated a law suit in your name and a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against you.”

The caller (a robo call) instructs you to call 509-600-0931 before further legal action is taken.

The Internal Revenue Service does not make telephone calls.

We won't give out his phone number, but he's 67 today - we think

Steve Stratton, where have the year's gone? Facebook says it's your birthday today. And, Facebook can't be wrong. We think that means you must be 67, or so.

Heck, we remember your second grade birthday party in Mrs. Jerome's room in the grade school.

We think you should buy a lottery ticket and use the numbers 2-3-0-7-6-7-7.

Or toss in 4 - 1 - 9 and you have a certain winner.

Don’t let that be an excuse to not get up and get moving inside!

By Christine Schroeder, MOT, OTR/L
Too cold to exercise outside? Don’t let that be an excuse to not get up and get moving inside!

It’s hard to stay motivated when it’s cold outside and you haven’t seen the sun for few days. Believe me – I know!  I’m not afraid to say that I’m a sucker for a good movie, my snuggly blanket and comfy couch on those cold winter nights.

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association's Procession of the Cross is set for 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 30.

Details of the route are not yet set. The walk will conclude at St. Mary's Catholic Church when a community worship service takes place at noon.
