Jon S. Troyer, 60, died at 3:23 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at The Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center surrounded by family.
Jon was born Oct. 27, 1960, in Lima, to the late Leonard and Betty (Sauder) Troyer. On July 27, 1985, he married Cheryl Ann (Phillips) Troyer.
Jon was a 1979 graduate of Elida High School. He grew up on a farm in Elida and was a life-long farmer. He and his brother Craig, owned and operated Troyer Brother's Farm. Jon also worked part-time at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center as a Surgical Tech.

Bluffton University freshman Montez Archer Jr. (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) has been named the HCAC Player of the Week for the third straight time on March 23.
Archer earned Special Teams Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after two straight Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Archer returned six kickoffs for 190 yards on Saturday, including a 78-yarder at the end of the first quarter that set up Bluffton's first touchdown.

Former Bluffton High School art teacher, Marbeck Center program director, and later owner of Groves Quality Collectibles, Sue E. Groves, 89, died March 23, 2021, at her residence.
Sue was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Bluffton to the late Harold and Oda (Amstutz) Kempf. She was married to Robert Wilch who survives in Bluffton. On June 27, 1975, she married Don Groves who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2005.
Sue was a graduate of Bluffton High School and Bluffton College. She worked at Gerber's Studio and was program director at Bluffton College.
Bluffton school board will hold a special meeting to interview candidates for the elementary principal position that opened with the announcement of Tim Closson's retirement.
The meeting takes place in executive session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, in the elementary media center.
Paula Rae Stewart, 72, died March 24, 2021, at Bridge Hospice Care Center - Findlay. Paula was born July 14, 1948, in Bluffton to the late Willis and Phyllis (Grismore) Mayberry who preceded her in death. On July 10, 1966, she married Dave Stewart and he survives.
Paula graduated from Columbus Grove High School. She was a homemaker and active member of Lima First Church singing with the Worship Team and helping with the children's ministries.
