FINDLAY,__Applications are being accepted for the 2024 Agri-Business scholarship program through the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce.  Scholarships will be awarded to area students pursuing college studies in agriculture, home economics, natural resources, or other related fields. 

The January meeting of the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Bluffton City Hall. 

Business to be discussed includes the fund raising campaign, the society logo and committee reports.  A brief presentation will conclude the meeting.

UPDATE: The preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was likely unintentional; the victim was identified in the Lima News as Grant Siefker.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau is investigating the following incident: On Sunday January 7, 2024 at 2:57 a.m., the Allen County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call regarding a shooting at a residence in the 11000 block of Slabtown Rd.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly breakfast meeting on Friday, January 12 on the third floor of Town Hall.

Samuel W. Diller Co., L.P.A is the meeting sponsor and Greenhorn will be providing the breakfast.

Breakfast is served at 7 a.m., with the program beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Managers at the Bluffton Circle K have shared that the 111 Commerce Ln, Bluffton location has begun renovation work.

The store will remain open. When completed, the location will have a new look and services.

Bluffton Family YMCA will host a youth volleyball camp on Monday, January 15, which is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and a school holiday.

  • For children in grades 2-4, the camp will run from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • For children in grades 5-8 the camp will run from 1-3 p.m. 

Bluffton Family YMCA, formerly Bluffton Family Recreation, has a new website at https://blufftonymca.net/ It includes a program guide, facility schedules, information on how to join, and online registration for programs.

The YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is "to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all."

The new Bluffton Family YMCA session starts on January 8 including the following group exercise schedule:

Aiden Harris reaches 1,000 pt. milestone

On Monday, January 8, the Pandora-Gilboa High School boy’s basketball team picked up a huge Putnam County League win on the road, defeating the Miller City Wildcats 52-40 (7-3, 1-1 PCL).  The Rockets remain undefeated at 10-0.
