Bluffton-Pandora's first settler
The plaque reads: "Home of Michael Neuenschwander, the first pioneer of the Swiss Mennonites who came to Ohio in the Spring of 1833 and settled in Putnam County Ohio." This year marks the 180th anniversary of the arrival of Europeans to northwest Ohio. Swiss Day on Sunday, June 30, celebrates of heritage of these settlers. The historic plaque is located on the King family farm on Bixel Road.
