One-hundred years ago today – Jan. 31, 1920 – Citizens National Bank opened its doors for the first time in Bluffton.
With $50,000 in capital and approximately four employees, it began a legacy of community banking now extending to 10 offices reaching 11 primary counties in Ohio and employing about 160 people.
Each attendee at the 1920 opening received an apple in appreciation for their business. In honor of that tradition, all CNB offices will have apples available for its customers today.
