2022 Ohio honey production report

Ohio honey production for 2022 totaled 1.25 million pounds, up 22 percent from 2021. This estimate included honey from producers with 5 or more colonies.

Yields from Ohio’s 19,000 honey producing colonies averaged 66 pounds in 2022, up 2 pounds from the previous year. Ohio honey price averaged $3.48 per pound, down 16 cents per pound from last year. Value  of production totaled $4.36 million, up 17 percent from 2021. Honey stocks totaled 464 thousand pounds, up 19 percent from 2021.

March 22 Lenten service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will hold a Lenten service on Wednesday, March 22, at 7:00 p.m.

Pastor Kurtis Feimuth from Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler will lead the service following the theme: "His Final Steps Led to His Enemies" based on Luke 20:9-19.

Preview of Bluffton ballots for May 2 election

Voting for military and overseas Ohioans has begun for the May 2 election. On Friday, March 17, Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) ballots were sent to men and women in the military who are stationed abroad and to Ohioans working overseas by county boards of elections.
