Pirates compete in DIII wrestling meet

ROSSFORD – Five members of the young Bluffton High School wrestling team gained valuable experience at the Div. III district meet in Rossford Friday and Saturday, March 4-5.

The competition was a double-elimination event.

The J.L. Doty Grocery and Bakery was a thriving Bluffton business operating in the building today housing Sielschott, Walsh, Keifer, Regula & Sherer, CPAs, 113 N. Main St.

Here comes Beaver spring break

Bluffton University takes a spring break this upcoming week, March 6-10.

Musselman Library has announced the following:

Spring break hours: M-F, 9am to noon. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church March 8 Lenten service

Wednesday evening Lenten services continue at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, at 7:00 p.m. on March 8. Pastor Samuel Johnson, from Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Bowling Green will be the guest pastor.

Clear skies over flood waters

Summary of February 27 Village of Bluffton Council Meeting

Trash and recycling contract approved, employee wage increase, new leaf picker upper, gas aggregation on May ballot-public meeting scheduled

After opening the February 27 regular meeting of the Bluffton council, Mayor Johnson called first for a report from the Utilities Committee, because a pair of guests from the Rumpe company were on hand seeking renewal of the contract for residential trash and recycling collection. Village Administrator Jesse Blackburn said the committee had a few options, including opening the contract for bids.
