Bluffton businesses are gearing up for the second annual Jingle Bell Stroll, from noon to 7:00 p.m. on November 14. Over 18 local businesses will welcome ticket holders to spread cheer and celebrate the holiday season.

Tickets are available in advance at Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn, Roots by Strattons, Polished/Boutique 415 and The Black Lab. They’re limited to 225 and priced at $10 each.

Tuesday, November 5 is general election day in the United States. The polls are open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Visit https://www.allen.boe.ohio.gov/ for more information.

Peanut brittle making and sales have begun for the 2024 holiday season at the Bluffton Senior Center, 132 N. Main St. The center sells the candy in one-pound bags for $10. It will be available until the last bag is sold.

The Senior Center has been making peanut brittle as a fundraiser for 50 years. This has been one of the biggest, most consistent fundraisers for the nonprofit organization. 

The Village of Bluffton has announced that the Parks & Recreation Committee will meet on Thursday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting will be at Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main St.

Robert Floyd (“Bob”) Wenger, age 90, passed away on October 22, 2024. He was born in Bluffton, Ohio on September 6, 1934, the son of Floyd E. and Eula (Wohlgamuth) Wenger.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will host a November 8 member Breakfast Meeting from 7-8:30 a.m. at Bluffton Town Hall. The event is a Veterans Days celebration sponsored by Citizens National Bank. Greenhorn will be catering the breakfast.

Michael Ayres will present the program A Tribute to Our Flag. Information compiled for this presentation will cover over 200 years of red, white, and blue history.
