FINDLAY,__Applications are being accepted for the 2024 Agri-Business scholarship program through the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce. Scholarships will be awarded to area students pursuing college studies in agriculture, home economics, natural resources, or other related fields.
ON January 9, 2024, at approximately 12:41 p.m. the Allen County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls in regard to an on-going robbery at the Lima Mall.
In January, the Bluffton Public Library will once again be hosting local artist Jeanne Beutler for a Watercolor Workshop event. This month's theme is penguins.
Participants will create their own finished 8” x 10” watercolor art, complete with mat board. The event will be held on January 18 and January 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. A cash-only supply fee of $10 must be paid at the door, and advance registration is required.
The event is open to adults and teens, and children with an accompanying adult. The activity will take place on the library's lower level.
Pastor Steve Terry, New Life Church of God, Fort Wayne, Ind., will present, “The Impact of a Positive Attitude,” at 11 a.m. on Jan. 16 in Yoder Recital Hall.
During the presentation, Terry will draw from Philippians 2:5 and 4:8 to show how a positive attitude like that of Jesus Christ makes a lasting impact in life.
The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Forum at Bluffton University is free and open to the public.
The January meeting of the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Bluffton City Hall.
Business to be discussed includes the fund raising campaign, the society logo and committee reports. A brief presentation will conclude the meeting.
