The March student of the month at Bluffton High School is Sophia Bricker, daughter of Sarah & Tyler Bricker of Bluffton. Bricker is a senior with a 4.0 GPA.

Bricker keeps busy by being involved in many activities including Art Club, National Honor Society, Campus Life, Youth Group at Bluffton First United Methodist Church and is a student aide in Mrs. Boblitt's room at the Bluffton Middle School.

On Good Friday, people of all ages gathered for a procession of the Cross coordinated by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association.

The Bluffton High School baseball team lost 14-0 to visiting Miller City on a windy Friday evening, April 15.

The Pirates dropped to 2-6 after the non-conference defeat. The Wildcats improved to 7-1 with the five-inning, run-rule shortened victory.

Bluffton (1-0 NWC) looks to bounce back when it hosts Northwest Conference power Crestview (4-1, 1-1 NWC) Monday, April 18.

Playing at home, the Bluffton High School varsity softball team ran its win streak to four games with a 9-1 romp over visiting non-conference foe Miller City on a windy Friday evening, April 15.

Pirate sophomore Lauren Bassett smacked a double, two singles and drove home three runs to pace the 14-hit attack.

Ashley Fleece also cranked a double and two singles, and knocked in one run. Senior shortstop Riley Busch slapped three singles and collected two runs batted in.

On Saturday, April 16, Southgate Lanes will host its biggest annual fundraiser:

"Our friends at Bluffton Diesel Service have compiled a plethora of great prizes that ANYONE has a chance to win." The proceeds from this HELP BLUFFTON event will benefit the Francis family, the Betts family, Bluffton Food Pantry and other families and non-profits around Bluffton.

Entertainment will be provided by DJ Phil Austin.
