The impact made by Officer Dominic Francis of the Bluffton Police Department, who was also a teacher and coach, is being shown in Bluffton, the Cory-Rawson school district and Findlay. An April 1 prayer vigil and vehicle procession were held in downtown Bluffton drawing an estimated 300 participants.
Bluffton University’s Masterworks performance will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10 in Yoder Recital Hall. Reservations can be made at www.bluffton.edu/tickets.
The concert, featuring soloists and a chorus, will include parts 2 and 3 of Handel’s “Messiah.” Dr. Young Bo Kang, Bluffton University director of choral activities, will conduct.
The chorus, comprised of University Chorale, Camerata Singers and Choral Society, featuring Bluffton-area community members, held rehearsals weekly in order to prepare for this event.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently updated its recommendations to allow certain people who are immunocompromised and people age 50 and older to get another Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech booster at least 4 months after their last dose to increase their protection against severe disease from COVID-19. In addition, adults who received their first vaccine and booster of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 4 months ago may also receive a second booster dose using the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
The Beaverdam Bunch 4-H club held it's election of the 2022 year on March 28. Gavin Kruse will serve as president of The Beverdam Bunch 4-H Club for the 2022 year.

The Bluffton University softball team kicked off Heartland Conference play with a pair of exciting walkoff wins over Rose-Hulman on a chilly Saturday, April 2, 2022. Bluffton improved to 8-10 overall and 2-0 in the Heartland Conference, while RHIT slipped to 11-5 and 0-2 in the HCAC.
Bluffton erased a 3-0 Rose lead in the bottom of the third when Madison Jones (West Milton/Milton Union) and Bobbi Adams (Delaware/Rutherford B. Hayes) hit back-to-back dingers. The shot by Adams was still climbing when it cleared the scoreboard in left field!
