Classes at Bluffton University start on Monday, August 29 and the number of university students will jump back up to some 750 or so pedestrians, drivers, shoppers, etc. in the village.
On August 26, first-year students at Bluffton University moved in and began taking part in Welcome Weekend activities. On Saturday and Sunday, the other residential students move back to campus. Fall student-athletes and campus leaders moved in earlier.

Ultrasound is an imaging modality that uses sound waves transmitted into the body to create a picture of internal structures. Ultrasound can be used to image a baby developing inside the womb and has become a routine part of prenatal care. Most patients will get at least two or three diagnostic ultrasounds throughout their pregnancy.

Planning outdoor events is a tricky business. This past weekend many area events were cancelled due to rain or thunderstorms. The Vine Street Block Party on August 20 managed to go on with only an hour delay and a few sprinkles.
There were activities for all ages with a house music soundtrack provided by two DJs--John Humphrey and renowned Detroit artist Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale.
The Bluffton High School boys soccer team lost 3-0 at tournament host Elida in their Kick-off Classic tournament semifinals Thursday evening, August 25.
The Pirates fell to 0-2 with the defeat.
Ethan Thomas scored all three Bulldog goals. He netted two goals in the first 20 minutes, then added a third tally at the 32:24 mark of the first half.
Neither team scored in the second half.
Bluffton got off eight shots, four of which were on goal. Meanwhile Elida mustered 13 shots, nine of which were on target.
