We all know Stan Schneck was “Mr. Pandora.”
There’s more to that title than you might think. Stan's older brother, Don, passed the title on to Stan, and Stan carried it well.
Don and Stan’s father, Clarence, then might as well be considered the Father of two Mr. Pandora’s. In an earlier generation, Clarence was an important heartbeat of the Pandora community.
Stan was about as Swiss as you could get – having a Schneck father and a Burkhalter mother and holding a life-long St. John Mennonite membership.
Hours after receiving her diploma at Bluffton High School with the class of 2014, Sara Chappell-Dick boarded a plane and headed to Guatemala. Since then she has filled her gap year with a number of adventures. She shares highlights from her year with us and gives insights on where she’ll be heading next.
Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora, will hold an ice cream social from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 26, in the fellowship hall.
This event is being hosted by Cub Scout Pack 3226. Menu consists of your choice of sloppy joe, hot dog, or chicken sandwich, plus cole slaw, baked beans, and / or chicken & noodles. Also, there will be lots of homemade pies and Dietsch Brothers ice cream.
