The Bluffton University women's basketball team traveled to the College of Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, December 1. The Beavers took a 30-22 lead in the first half, but Mt. St. Joseph outscored Bluffton in the second period, 44-28, for a 66-58 win. Bluffton fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the Heartland Conference, while MSJ improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the HCAC.
The Bluffton University men's basketball team hosted the College of Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, December 1 for the first game of the HCAC season.
Bluffton took an early lead on the Lions and held a 44-30 advantage going into the half. The Lions made a comeback in the second period as they outscored the Beavers 46-38. The comeback was not enough though, and the Beavers picked up the win.
Bluffton residents received an early Christmas present on Dec. 1. The "new" Spring Street bridge is open for business. Thanks to Marty Hostetler (who probably drove over it first), tipped off The Icon to the bridge being open.
