It takes something fairly spectacular to drag my attention from Lady Gaga singing "Poker Face" on my headset at 6 a.m. on a warm March day, but Bill Marchal did it with a simple statement.
"You know what. March 19."
Say no more. But dang. That's still a week away -- seven days too many.
Caity Matter, Bluffton High School grad, was recently named to the Buckeye Sports Bulletin top 10 most outstanding Ohio State women's basketball players of the last decade.
Matter was tied for third on the list. According to BSB, the top five players are:
1 - Jessica Davenport (2004-07)
2 - Jantel Lavender (2008-present)
3 - Caity Matter (2001-05)
3 - Brandie Hoskins (2004-07)
5 - Courtney Coleman (2000-03)

6th Grade:
Abby Tuttle, daughter of Dave and Bev Tuttle, Bluffton. Abby is in the BMS Choir. Next year she would like to try out for the 7th grade Middle school basketball and volleyball teams. She likes to play outside, do crafts, and make head bands in her spare time.
Groves Bears store will temporarily relocate the business and reopen for walk-In business the week of March 29, according to Robin Wilch, store owner.
The new location will be at 123 S. Main St., which is the former Wright's store. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has used that building as its office during the streetscape project.
