Thomas D. Nusbaum, 70 of Bluffton died at 10:20 a.m., Feb. 28, 2012, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

He was born Jan. 28, 1942, in Lima to Elmer and Florence (Krites) Nusbaum who preceded him in death. On June 15, 1963, he married Barbara Shepler and she survives.

He retired from Dana Corporation, Lima. After retirement he was a bus driver for Bluffton Schools. He was a member of the Eagles, Lima. He had been a member of the Bluffton Fire & EMS Departments.

Kenneth E. Geiger, 87 of Bluffton died at 10:45a.m. Feb. 27, 2012, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 5 at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.

A "Superior" orchestra

The Bluffton High School string orchestra, directed by Rachael Lewis, received a "Superior" rating at the Feb. 24-25 OMEA large group state adjudicated event. Click for details and names of orchestr players.

The March issue of "The Visioneer," which provides updates on the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Green House Project is now available for Icon viewers.

House "B" is completely under roof and the rough-in mechanicals (electrical, plumbing, heating/AC, fire suppression) are proceeding rapidly.

House "A" is nearly under roof and then the mechanical rough-ins will begin there as well. There was a point in early December when we thought the project would need to be put on hold until spring.

Smith's Realty, Bluffton, has a new listing. It is a residence at 120 W. Elm St., (corner of Elm and Lawn). For a complete overview of the property open the attachment at the bottom of this story.

Trudy Baber will receive a life membership to the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association during the Monday, March 12, monthly potluck. The dinner is at noon at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. Baber turns 90 this month.

Larry Armstrong, ventriloquist, will present the program. Bob Painter is the potluck master of ceremonies.
